I've published a paper in MSSP with Paolo Tiso from ETH Zurich, introducing new benchmark data for nonlinear system identification. Depending on forcing amplitude, the system to be identified features linear behaviour, localised nonlinearity, and distributed nonlinearity. I've lectured on "Nonlinear identification of mechanical systems: state of the art, challenges and trends" during the "2016 ELEC Doctoral School on Identification of Nonlinear Dynamic Systems", organised by Prof. Johan Schoukens at VUB, Belgium.
The OUFTI-1 nanosatellite I worked on as a Master student has been successfully launched from the Guiana Space Centre in Kourou (see the project website).
I've delivered two presentations during the "Workshop on Nonlinear System Identification Benchmarks", held in Brussels, Belgium. In particular, the focus of one of the two talks was on some recent trends in nonlinear mechanical system identification, based on this set of slides.
I've co-organised the first edition of the "Workshop on Nonlinear System Identification Benchmarks" (NSIB). The originality of this workshop is that it stands as a forum facilitating the exchange of ideas and knowledge between the control, machine learning and mechanical communities around the central theme of nonlinear system identification.
